The Dallas Stars are not eliminated from playoff contention. But after Saturday overtime loss to the Nashville Predators, they are no longer in control of their own destiny. To put it bluntly, their playoff hopes appear bleak. That puts the Stars in a difficult position for the next five games when it comes to player usage. For instance, is it even worth dressing Tyler Seguin at this pointHis return would undoubtedly help the Stars https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Baron_Browning_T_shirt-82, but Seguin may not be enough to get the Stars four wins in five games, especially with Denis Gurianov (upper body) and Jason Dickinson (lower body) injured as well. Seguin would probably need a couple of games to shake the rust off since he hasn played since Game 6 of the Cup Final more than seven months ago, so would shutting him down for the season make the most sense long-termThe Stars also have the option of recalling some of their AHL standouts to finish the NHL season, giving them a solid look of how NHL-ready they are:Riley Damiani and Adam Mascherin have had standout seasons in the AHL, and Thomas Harley can burn a year of his entry-level contract by finishing the season in Dallas. The Stars have used only one of their four non-emergency recalls allowed after the trade deadline, meaning they still have three available if they chose to utilize them. Monday shootout loss to the Calgary Flames left a bit of a bitter taste in all of us. Losses to Calgary are especially annoying in light of their recent playoff history with the Jets, so a back-to-back game set up the perfect opportunity for revenge. Paul Maurice made another tweak in moving Nathan Beaulieu to Josh Morrissey pairing, sliding Dylan DeMelo down to Logan Stanley. Would the additional line-up tweaks push Winnipeg to a big victoryThe First PeriodThe Jets seemed pretty upset about getting paddled on Monday, and came out of the gates kicking and screaming. The tempo was notably higher and seemed to catch the Flames off-guard. When Winnipeg activates Big Speed Mode, few teams can contain their best lines. Despite some strong early shifts, the Jets ended up getting themselves into some trouble with an early penalty kill opportunity. Never fear, however, for elite PK Sniper Trevor Lewis is here! Thanks to a nifty forced turnover from Mason Appleton, Lewis found himself on a clear low slot chance and dummied David Rittich for the shorthanded goal. Photo by Darcy Finley/NHLI via Getty ImagesAbout a minute later, Derek Forbort added his own top-shelf snipe off of a great feed from Neal Pionk Dylan DeMelo Flag. As cool as scoring twice in a minute was, the Jets immediately conceded a goal the other way to Matthew Tkachuk. Can this family just leave the Jets alone Please, for the love of gord, get them away from Winnipeg. Thankfully, the Jets resumed dominating the Flames and grabbed another goal from Nikolaj Ehlers. This was one was a beautifully tipped deflection. The line of Copp-Scheifele-Ehlers looked a lot more assertive and earned the early reward. The Second PeriodWinnipeg continued to outcreate Calgary in the second period, refusing to let up and rolling the depth lines with great frequency. It was notable to see Wheeler line seeing reduced minutes https://www.storewinnipeg.com/Anders_Hedberg_T_shirt-19, and a necessary change. For one thing, the Scheifele line was absolutely buzzing every time it hit the ice. The coaching staff also seemed to recognize the second line just can be trusted with significant minutes, especially on DZ shifts. While the Jets weren able to pad the 3-1 lead, just controlling the tempo of the game and shutting down the Flames offense was more than sufficient. Winnipeg has blown leads early in games so a more complete effort was nice to see. That said, there were still 20 minutes remaining, and we all know no lead is safe with this team! The Third PeriodMy concerns about the Jets started to rear their ugly head in the last period of regulation. The Jets became extremely passive and gave Calgary far too much room to operate. The Flames may not be great, but their top lines have more than enough firepower to kill you. A 2-goal lead isn one to comfortably sit on, and things got dicey deep into the period. Photo by Darcy Finley/NHLI via Getty ImagesTkachuk bagged his second goal of the night and cut the lead to just 3-2. With Calgary surging mightily, the task fell to Laurent Brossoit to hold the line. Somehow, against all odds, Brossoit pulled a Hellebuyck and preserved Winnipeg lead. The best save of the night was the last-second chance from Gaudreau that looked all but certain to tie the game. Instead, Brossoit managed to lunge out and deflect the puck away. Incredible save, that. Three TakeawaysPionk-Forbort is Winnipeg best defensive pairing. I half-jokingly posted on Twitter that I trust Pionk and Forbort more than the rest of Winnipeg blueliners. . . . but I serious. This pairing has been surprisingly successful and does enough in both ends of the ice to keep the Jets functioning. Forbort in particular is proving to be one of the biggest steals of free agency, especially among defensemen. The top line was legitimately a top line. After a rougher start yesterday, Copp-Scheifele-Ehlers clicked along nicely in their second outing. They absolutely owned offensive zone shifts and created a ton of nice scoring looks around Rittich. With Scheifele now separated from Wheeler, he looks a lot more mobile and proactive in the OZ Teemu Selanne Face Mask. Ehlers and Copp are great complements to his style of play. Wheeler is cooked. This one hurts a lot. We all remember when the captain could surge through the neutral zone and blitz defenders with ease. Wheeler at his best just powered through opponents like a hot knife through butter, but those days are long gone. Wheeler is increasingly a liability on the ice, and the team seems to have recognized the fact. Blake had one of his lowest TOI deployments in ages, and it for the best. He just can play 20+ minutes a night anymore, and it sucks to see.

Each off-season brings choices for a team front office. Many choices are harder to deal with than others, and the Blues top three unrestricted free agents haven made Doug Armstrong job any easier. Mike Hoffman, who didn fit into coach Craig Berube system that well, was a healthy scratch several times, and who was rumored as trade bait up until the deadline Justin Faulk Pet Jersey, helped revitalize the Blues anemic power play straight into a finishing position as sixth best in the league. It difficult for the Blues to manage their playoff push without that punch. Jaden Schwartz missed 16 games and saw his point production dwindle sharply in the 40 games he did play (8G, 13A). On the other hand, wee seen how the Blues play without his absence in the past, and it easy to question if it worthwhile to make that absence permanent through not re-signing him. Tyler Bozak is the UFA who may not be getting his due attention, especially while fans are fixated on Jaden Schwartz situation (Hoffman, many feel, is a candidate for a one-and-done). Bozak, at age 35, is approaching the twilight of his NHL career. He said the wanted to come to St. Louis to win the Cup, which he did in his first season with the team. There was the high hit from Mark Stone that knocked him out of commission for seven weeks this season - many fans questioned what impact could that have on Bozak play moving forward. Upon his return, Bozak put a lot of that talk to rest. He finished up the season with 5 goals and 12 assists in 31 games played; two of those goals were shorthanded https://www.stprostoreonline.com/Dakota_Joshua_Flag-138. He became an ice-time hog as the season wound down, and relished the increased responsibility, especially in the face-off circle, finishing the season with 56. 8% of his draws this season. Most 35 year old players miss seven weeks, and they return a shade of their former self. Not Bozak. He hasn outlived his usefulness; in fact, this season was an advocacy for it. He finishing up a three year deal at $5 mil AAV. That expensive for someone more than likely at the end of his career, but Bozak clearly has gas in his tank. Doug Armstrong needs to figure out how much he wants to pay per gallon. If he could get Bozak to agree to a bit of a hometown discount, another couple of years for the veteran center in St. Louis wouldn be the worst thing that Armstrong does this off-season https://www.stprostoreonline.com/Erik_Foley_T_shirt-53.

The Titans have added linebacker David Long Jr. to the COVID-19 list. Long is the first Titan to go on the list since October 8th https://www.tennesseefanstoreonline.com/Quenton_Meeks_T_shirt-106. The team was near the end of their week-long outbreak at that point. Remember how much fun that wasThe Titans placed LB David Long on the Reserve/COVID-19 list -- the first Tennessee player to go on the list since Oct https://www.tennesseefanstoreonline.com/Kevin_Johnson_Face_Mask-494. 8. Contact tracing underway, and the facility remains open. The good news is that the facility remains open. That would suggest that there is no reason to fear that another organizational outbreak is occurring. It seems like the NFL has done some good work preventing widespread outbreaks since the debacle that was October. The Titans are scheduled to take on the Ravens this Sunday. It a crucial game. As of now, there no reason to believe the game will be impacted by this Jan Johnson T-Shirt. Check back for updates.

The Washington Football Team said goodbye to Alex Smith at QB. The Houston Texans have said hello to Tyrod Taylor at QB. And stuck somewhere in hello-goodbye limbo is Deshaun Watson. Could the game of NFL Musical Chairs have that threesome dancingThe Texans are saying very flattering things right now about the newcomer vet Taylor as a potential starter https://www.houstongearonline.com/Christian_Kirksey_Hoodie-179. The lawyers and the massage therapists They seem to have a combination of flattering and unflattering views of Watson, a name that we know continues to come up when other NFL teams call Houston - though what we dont know is whether thetreasure chest offers are shrinking because of Watson sordid legal entanglements. And now we have another name tied to Houston, as Tom Pelissero, the respected NFL Network reporter, notes that depending on Watson status, dont rule out Alex Smith landing in Houston. Different teams have different views on the importance of multiple vets being in the QB room https://www.houstongearonline.com/Jacob_Martin_Pillow_Cover-401. Working on the assumption that Watson is for some reason unavailable - whether trade, holdout, suspension or court dates - is there a reason to employ both the 31-year-old Taylor and the 36-year-old SmithIt doesnt have to be financially prohibitive to do so;Taylor deal Derek Rivers Hoodie, initially reported as being worthup to $12. 5 million, is really about a modest base salary of $5. 5 million. And while Smith was last year a $20 million QB, he been sitting on the shelf long enough to know that those days, and maybe his days as a starter, are done. Some teams habitually employ a top-notch second-string QBs; weve often called the positionthe 12th starter. But in the case of the Texans They didnt really do that last year, with A. J. McCarron as the backup. And with new bosses GM Nick Caserio and coach David Culley This is their first time running their own show, so there is no track record upon which to rely. Houston has no reason tooverpay another QB. But frankly, the Deshaun Watson situation is so unsettling that the Texans have every reason to check themselves here, to consider all the hellos and all the goodbyes https://www.houstongearonline.com/Shyheim_Carter_T_shirt-104. . . because amid the confusion, they really dont know if their franchise QB is coming or going.

First I would like to apologize to everyone for missing the Victory Of The Week thread last night. I was up in Fort Worth taking care of mowing a lot we own so that the city won send us a giant fine following their warning that I had already received. Had I not been dealing with my grandmother's health issues for the last 6 plus weeks I had planned to be up there much earlier last month to both build the shed that I ordered and bring the riding mower up that I had bought to deal with the lot as it right at a half an acre. Long story short I expected that I would be home by 5 PM yesterday but it took me longer to get out of Fort Worth and then I found every accident between Fort Worth and Houston on my way home. So moving on to tonight Phinsider Question Of The Day https://www.miamigearonline.com/Adam_Butler_Hoodie-179. As you can probably already tell by the photo at the top of the page this is a post about Ricky Williams. I am going to try and do another different post on him and a ton of other ex-Dolphins players like I did with Zach Thomas at the beginning of this past week. Hopefully, despite the lack of comments on the ZT post and despite spending a good bit of time writing it that the other posts will gain a little more traction. Many of us regulars are aware of not only the history of the franchise but know a lot about the past players that made an impact on the team and in some cases a giant impact on the city of Miami and or South Florida as a whole. But, we have a lot of fans that due to just their lack of years behind them don know as much about the franchise that they love as those of us who have long since turned gray https://www.miamigearonline.com/Chris_Myarick_Pillow_Cover-315. So tonight PQOTD is do you think that Ricky Willams would have made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame or at the very least into the Miami Dolphins Ring of Honor had he had a more static career with the team and or in the NFL, meaning void of so many stops and starts due to either being suspended by the league for failed drug screenings, due to smoking weed, multiple times or because he retired before again returning I don want this to devolve into a post about whether what he did was way messed up or not as there is so much that goes into his story and the opinions on him and what he did spans the spectrum https://www.miamigearonline.com/Jesse_Davis_T_shirt-7. I think a lot of us spend a good part of our 20 and even our 30s making stupid mistakes that we wish to God that we had not made and looking back by the time we hit our 40s and 50s have a laundry list a mile long of things we would have done differently had we known what we now know. I know Ricky has come out and stated that he has regrets about his playing days and how it all turned out looking back but the past is the past. So give us your thoughts on Rickey and perhaps how you think his long-term legacy in both the NFL and with the Miami Dolphins will be seen. Also, let us know where you think Ricky sits among the other great running backs that have played for the Dolphins over the years. Please give us your thoughts in the comment section below-As this is a nightly post (when there is not a live game thread or the Phinsider Question Of The Day Post) feel free to not only discuss the question/topic of the day if there happens to be one but to also use this as a live thread where the rules are pretty wide open Akeem King Face Mask, and you can discuss nearly anything so long as you continue to follow the site rules. Also, we obviously encourage group discussions of our Miami Dolphins and the goings-on with the team from day to day. Speaking of site rules the three rules that come with a zero-tolerance policy are that we do not allow ANY personal attacks against your fellow hins fan or even a troll from another site. Flag it and walk away! There is no reason to get yourself a warning or temporary banning due to someone else lack of proper demeanor. Beyond that, there is no discussion or even references to anything remotely religious or political.

This is interesting Anthony Chickillo Pillow Cover. The Titans activated running back Senorise Perry from Injured Reserve on Wednesday:. Titans activate RB Senorise Perry (SenoriseP) from Injured Reserve. READ 0Perry joins the 53-man roster after spending the last three weeks on the team esignated for Return list. The Titans had an open roster spot after releasing punter Ryan Allen yesterday Cameron Fleming Hoodie. More roster moves could be on the way. This is a bit of a surprising decision given how crowded the running back room currently is. Derrick Henry has recently been backed up by Dnta Foreman and Jeremy McNichols, who have both played well as of late https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Nolan_Laufenberg_Pillow_Cover-587. Fullback Khari Blasingame is a mainstay on the roster as well. Let not forget about rookie Darrynton Evans. He should also be ready to return to the field within the next few weeks. The Titans placed Perry on Injured Reserve last month.
